This BPEC commercial training course is for those requiring an understanding of Water Supply and Fitting (Scotland) Byelaws 2014. Water Byelaws apply to ALL plumbing systems, water fittings and appliances connected to the public water supply in Scotland.
This certification is a pre-requisite for plumbers/heating engineers undertaking renewables courses on offer at Glasgow Clyde College such as Heat Pump Systems and Solar Thermal Systems.

What will I learn?
The course has 19 modules and all training is theoretical with an assessment at the end. On successful completion candidates will receive a certificate of competence in compliance with the Water Supply (Scotland) Byelaws 2014.
With increasing targets to cut carbon emissions and the introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) consumer demand for renewable energy sources is increasing. This certification is a mandatory requirement to upskill to renewable heating source installations.
As this course is categorised as part-time commercial training, it is not eligible for any fee waiver or funding via the College. The student is liable for the payment of fees, unless an external training grant or employer support is confirmed at time of booking.

Entry requirements (minimum)
Candidates must have prior demonstratable knowledge of the plumbing and water industry.
Jobs and further study
Successful candidates will receive a certificate of competence in compliance with the Water Supply (Scotland) Byelaws 2014.
Additionally, successful candidates with relevant industry related qualifications can join approved plumbers/contractors schemes.
