Course overview
This course covers the technical requirements for the safe installation of electric vehicle charging points and will allow formal recognition of competence through appropriate industry schemes.
Is it for me?
This course is aimed at competent Electricians who have already obtained relevant electrical competence qualifications, and who wish to upskill further and gain a recognised formal qualification.
What will I do?
This qualification covers the IOT code of practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment installation. It will provide you with the opportunity to develop and evidence the skills required to competently and safely install vehicle charging points.
What’s next?
This course will prepare you to work in the green sector, installing electric vehicle charging points.
Entry requirements
This qualification is for practising electricians. Learners must hold one of the following:
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker
Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services
Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification
Level 3 EAL Building Services Engineering
Electrotechnical Installation
ECS Gold Card for a Domestic Electrician, JIB Electrician, or Approved Electrician Card
