The Level 2 Carbon Literacy and the impact of Climate Change qualification, highlights the need for substantial change and supports you, as an individual, to have a cascade effect on a much wider audience- whether its in your workplace, community, school, university, place of worship, or another setting. A Carbon Literate citizen understands how climate change will affect them and the people around them, both geographically and sectorally.

This Level 2 qualification in Carbon Literacy and the Impact of Climate Change is built around the principles of carbon literacy.
The course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of how to make more informed choices, to make positive actions to reduce their carbon footprint.
Completing this course will provide individuals with the confidence to share their knowledge of climate change reduction and motivate others to do the same.
Study of this course will be required both in a classroom and independently.
The aims of the qualification are to enable learners to understand:
The nature of greenhouse gases and how human activities are contributing to the increasing concentrations in the atmosphere
How increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases link to the current impacts of climate change.
How the choices made by individuals, communities, organisations and governments can reduce the impacts of global climate change

Assessment
This qualification is assessed through the completion of a devised multiple-choice test that is carried out on completion of the course.
