Course overview
Start a new career or add to your existing professional skills, within the property retrofit, energy efficiency and property refurbishment sectors with our new NEIoT Retrofit Coordinator course.

The Retrofit Coordinator, is a new professional role, created by government, to ensure quality and value for clients and contractors engaged in the property retrofit and property management sectors. Developed in collaboration with industry specialists and FE partners, this qualification equips learners with the professional skills to required, to operate in that role.

The role of the Retrofit Coordinator was established within the framework of a new quality standard called PAS2035. The Retrofit Coordinator has a key role within PAS2035 and is responsible for ensuring compliance with procurement, specification, and delivery of measures in domestic retrofit projects. A Retrofit Coordinator will ‘project manage’ a retrofit project from inception to completion, and will need to liaise with building owners, Retrofit Assessors, Retrofit Designers and Retrofit Installers in order to ensure effective end-to-end project management.

This qualification is part of the NEIoT: Retrofit Co-ordinator bootcamp.

What will I study

Entry requirements
This qualification is relevant for those who have experience of working in construction or the built environment for a minimum of 2 years within the past 3 years, proof of this is required via a CV or employer’s testimony/letter. Learners will also need to hold a Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment or be pre-qualified as an L3 Retrofit Assessor.

Completing the NEIoT Retrofit Coordinator course offers pathways to a pivotal management role in the construction property sector and the built environment. Graduates will be able to register with an accredited UKAS Certification Scheme and will hold the professional designation of Certified Retrofit Coordinator.
