Are you considering a career as a carpenter or joiner? If you'd like to learn the essential skills required by the construction industry and earn a widely-recognised qualification then this is the course for you.
On this Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery, you'll cover a range of essential skills and knowledge to prepare you for work, including how to carry out first fix flooring, roofing, frames, partitions and stairs. You'll also explore carpentry maintenance and second fixing operations, as well as learn how to set up and operate a circular saw.
Entry Requirements
Applicants will be required to have achieved a Level 1 qualification in Carpentry and Joinery and have Level 1 qualifications in English and Maths.
How will I be assessed
You'll be assessed through a mix of practical tasks - in which you'll need to achieve certain national standards, assignments and online examinations.
Continuing your journey
After completing our Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery you will be able to work supervised in the construction industry and progress on to study our Level 3 qualification in Site Carpentry.
