Maintenance Electrician
Domestic Electrician
OR
Any of the following qualifications, plus the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification if your qualification was achieved more than 5 years ago:
C&G 5393 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
C&G 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical (installation or maintenance)
C&G 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (buildings, structures, and the environment)
C&G 2346 Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
C&G 2347 Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification
What will I study?
The C&G 2921-34 EV charging course is designed for qualified electricians looking to upskill in the design, installation and maintenance of domestic and small commercial electric vehicle charging installations.
This course is mainly a theory-based course covering:
Know the key documentation and legislation in relation to electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE)
Know the different types and features of EVSE
Understand design considerations for EVSE installations
Understand testing, commissioning and handover requirements specific to the installation of electric vehicle charging equipment and circuits in domestic and small commercial settings
Understand the use of vehicles as electrical energy storage systems as part of prosumer’s installations
Future Prospects
On successful completion of this qualification, learners can progress on to City & Guilds Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations. As well as other CPD qualifications within Electrotechnical.
