Entry Criteria
GCSE English and maths grade 4 or successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation and able to demonstrate working at/towards Level 2 in English and maths in an initial assessment.
What will I study and be assessed?
This qualification aligns fully to the knowledge, skills and behaviours in Installation and Maintenance Electrician (ST0152) standard and is assessed by practical, multiple choice questions and holistic assignments which cover the following areas:
Scientific principles
Inspection, testing and commissioning of electrotechnical systems and equipment
Fault finding and diagnosis
Electrical design practices and procedures
Organising and overseeing electrical work activities in buildings
Requirements for electrical installations to BS 7671
Future Prospects
You may choose to progress on to a relevant Level 4 qualification such as an HNC or Foundation degree. You may choose university, or seek an apprenticeship or employment.
