About the course
The qualification is aimed primarily at practicing plumbers and heating engineers who already have an understanding of the fundamental requirements of central heating systems and who wish to design and install energy efficient low temperature hot water heating systems within the Building Services Engineering (BSE) sector.
What qualification will I gain?
This qualification is a recommended pre-requisite for other Level 3 qualifications in Heat Pump Installation and is a requirement for recognition to membership of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Successful completion of this qualification will extend career opportunities in the emerging technologies field.

This course covers the essential knowledge and understanding required for low temperature hot water heating design and includes methodologies and calculations required to Design Energy Efficient Low Temperature Hot Water Heating Systems.

This qualification has one theory assessment.
Entry requirements
Trainees need to have knowledge of the plumbing and water industry and would ideally hold qualifications or relevant experience within the BSE sector.
