Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Advice

The role of a Retrofit Advisor is all about customer service and engagement, making the complex process of retrofit less uncomfortable and more achievable for customers.

A Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Advice course, ideal for housing professionals becoming more heavily involved in retrofit projects

Who’s this for:
Ideal for those with experience working in the retrofit industry, on successful completion of the Level 3 Award, learners may progress directly into employment as a Retrofit Advisor or may progress onto higher learning in the Retrofit field.

Learning: Your learning will take approximately 38 hours, this includes online learning, an online tutor led session via MS Teams and the assessment.

Units cover:

1. Understand the retrofit industry and the role of the retrofit advisor

1.1 Describe the range of ways retrofit is delivered in practice

1.2 Describe the roles and responsibilities of a Retrofit Advisor

2. Understand retrofit frameworks

2.1 Describe how projects are delivered using the PAS2035 framework

2.2 Describe the requirements for retrofit advice within the PAS2035 retrofit process

3. Understand the client-base for Retrofit Advisors

3.1 Describe the range of customers a Retrofit Advisor may interact with

3.2 Explain how to adjust the style of communication to engage with customers with different profiles

Entry Requirements:

It is recommended that learners have a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills or Grade 4/C GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent. Ideal for those with experience working in the retrofit industry or have a level 2 recognised retrofit qualification. Customer service experience is also desirable. In order to access the eLearning materials and take the online exam you must have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection.

Assessment:

All learners are assigned to one of The Retrofit Academy’s Tutor/Assessors, who will provide guidance and feedback on all your assessments. All Tutors/Assessors are experienced in the retrofit industry and hand-picked for their experience and expertise.

This formal exam is remotely-invigilated by a representative from The Retrofit Academy training team and the Awarding Body (AIM).
