Who is it for?
Take it to the next level with a Level 3 Retrofit Advisor qualification. This course is focused on giving you the knowledge you need to advise others on climate change, emissions, and the PAS 2035 process. Learn about the retrofit measures and technologies that are currently available in the industry. Find out how heat and moisture interact with the walls, roofs, and ground floors of our homes, including how to treat and prevent common issues with damp and mould. Find out how to answer questions that homeowners and tenants often ask about retrofit measures and how they work together to create more efficient, comfortable, and healthy homes.
What is covered?
1. The Role of Retrofit in Home Energy Consumption
All you need to know about climate change, the importance and meaning of retrofit, fuel poverty, and the role of a Retrofit Advisor
2. Retrofit Principles
Learn the basics of construction and building services, energy efficiency and heat loss, retrofit measures and technologies, and the major risks in retrofitting
3. The Retrofit Industry and the Role of Advisors
Get to grips with the organizations involved in retrofit, the funding and grants available, the typical retrofit customer journey, PAS 2035, and the role of the Retrofit Advisor
4. Understanding the Principles of Retrofit Advice
The skills and knowledge you need to do the job properly, including site visits, health and safety, common challenges in retrofit, and energy efficiency and how to deliver good retrofit advice
What will I need?
You must have experience of working in the retrofit industry or a recognized retrofit or construction qualification.
Customer service experience is also desirable.
How is the course assessed?
Portfolio of evidence including Multiple Choice Questions, Practical Assessment via Case Study and Professional Discussions.

This course includes 3 days of classroom base sessions between 9.00 AM and 4.30 PM.
