Is this course for me?
The heat pump course is specifically aimed at existing fossil fuel plumbing and heating engineers and giving them the necessary training to upskill their existing skills to install heat pumps.

The course allows learners to continue to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment within the Building Engineering Services (BES) Renewable sector.

What will i learn?
The course material has been designed to meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards QCF units, Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) Installer Standard and the Heat Pump industry/manufacturers agreed criteria for the installation of domestic sized Heat Pump Systems that are currently available in the UK.

How will I be assessed?
Mixture of theoretical and practical assessments

What qualification do I need?
This training course is designed for qualified building services engineers who hold one of the following qualifications :

N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent earlier certification; or
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Domestic Installation) or equivalent earlier certification; or
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Industrial and Commercial Installation) or equivalent earlier; or
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Oil-Fired Technical Services or equivalent earlier; or
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent earlier certification
