NOCN Level 2 NVQ Diploma for Insulation and Building Treatments

Designed for individuals aged 19 and over, this Level 2 qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner must be employed and working within the construction industry to enrol.

About this course
This qualification is centred around hands on learning, which means that the learner must be employed to embark on this pathway. Learners will be able to recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding as well as demonstrating their competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of cavity wall insulation.

8 Weeks - Weekly sessions of 6 hours or 4 day block release.

What will the course involve?
This Level 2 qualification consists of five mandatory units. In order to pass this qualification learners must successfully complete all five mandatory units.

Mandatory units:
Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
Installing Cavity Wall Insulation in the Workplace
Insulation and Building Treatments, Building Construction, Defects and Interfaces
Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace

What qualifications will I need?
There are no formal academic entry requirements.
Students must be age 19 and over and they must be employed and working within the construction industry.

Next Steps
On completion, the learner will have obtained the skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrated competence to progress on to a higher level qualification in the same or similar occupational area.

Further training and/or experience could enable entry into supervisory and management positions within the workplace.

Industry will accept the qualification/pathway on its own as entry to a job role.
