Description
This programme is recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

Designed to give installers the skills and knowledge required to correctly install heat pumps (Air & Ground available) with an option to take our design module (1 Day). This course has been designed with the intention of meeting the requirement of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and industry working groups. Assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.

The text book is included in the course fee and each book also includes your registration code (aka Certification Fee).

Course Structure Overview:

Day 1 & 2 - Core & Air Source Heat Pumps (Compulsory)
Day 3 - Ground Source Heat Pumps (ON REQUEST)
Day 4 - Design Module (ON REQUEST)

Prerequisites
All candidates must have Water Regulations/Water Byelaws AND Unvented (G3 - Cylinders)

You must also have one of the following:

N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent earlier certification
OR
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Domestic Installation) or equivalent earlier certification;
OR
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Industrial and Commercial Installation) or equivalent earlier certification;
OR
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Oil-Fired Technical Services or equivalent earlier certification
OR
N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent earlier certification
